Biometric on expired passport with ILR

Post by Ragingtiger0309 » Wed Feb 26, 2020 2:22 pm

Hi all, Kindly share your expertise. I am a Non-EU person on ILR, since 2010 on an expired passport. Now I am applying for new jobs they asked me to provide a Biometric stamp card or a stamp on a new passport.
It cost £248 by post and £1049 by face 2 face appointment. My question is can I not send my passport to get this Biometric card done because I am travelling overseas in a couple of months. Like someone from the council can see my stamp and certificate like we did our for children with an extra cost before sending the application to Home office. I guess postal service can take 6months at least.

My current passport will expire in 5 years time, then again I need this biometric card- is it the case?

Thanks for your help
Sam

Nothing is posted to HO. You apply online and upload your supporting documents to the UKCVAS Sopra Steria portal before your biometric appointment.

It is not a 'stamp' you are applying for. It is a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) as a NTL (no time limit) application.

Refund for the Biometric service

Post by Ragingtiger0309 » Fri Feb 28, 2020 2:51 pm

Hi all, I paid £1048 for the Biometric service for 1 day appointment, but I thought if I apply for British citizenship would be beneficial in the long run. Can I get a refund please. I tried to fill a form online but it says fees will not be refunded. Is there anyway, to get my money back- please inform

MBA-Masters degree from a UK University

Post by Ragingtiger0309 » Sun Mar 01, 2020 9:29 pm

Hi again, could you please advise on this. My Masters degree is from UK University, but bachelor degree is not from UK. I am trying to fill a form for British Nationality. Then this question came-

English language - degree taught in English

Do you have a degree that was taught in English? (Required)
The degree must be equivalent to a UK Bachelor's degree or above. If you have completed a research degree, the research must have been conducted in English.

Other Question is:

Previous applications
Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad? (Required)
This includes applications for asylum in the UK.
I have extended my visa at the airport before expiring the old visa, this was done in 1999 and 2001 after showing a letter from the University. Do you think its an IMMIGRATION APPLICATION- Kindly share your expertise
