Apply spouse visa

Post by MinusA » Sat Mar 14, 2020 1:08 am

Hi
i need help with an application, i have a solicitor atm and am sending and giving documents to them for them to upload.
But they have told me that i need to make my file smaller as they you can only upload up to 10mb.
what i dont understand is am i unable to give paper documents anymore?
my wife is from vietnam and i am applying from the uk, i got over 200 screenshots and i have no idea if i be able to get it printed in vietnam and submit it at the vietnam centre or not, is it possible?

There is no room again for sending paper documents to HO. It has to be scanned and uploaded online on their visa application partner website or scanned and mailed if document is requested at later stage after biometrics.
Check online for apps that allow you to compress or reduce the side of PDF documents. Also instead of color, scan in black and white or grey scale.

It won't be possible to just print it off and wife submit at the Vietnam centre. What can happen is you pay for such additional service where the VAC will help you scan and upload and the VAC may limit
the number of photos to be uploaded e.g. to just 10 photos.

You cannot post documents.

All your documents must be uploaded.

You can upload more than one document. Each file cannot be bigger than 6mb.

In life you cannot press the Backspace button!!

You need a small cropping work over screenshots and then save them back which by default will be converted into png format (ukvcas's acceptable format) with massively reduced space. By doing so the qualify of image/screenshot wont be affected.
