Re: UK Spouse Visa - Maternity Leave Question

So I dont need to write to sitel to inform immigration about this change,
basically the passport has less than 6 months now, the passport offices in afghanitan are shut due to Covid 19 outbreak and my wife was advised to renew before the offices shut.

new passport indicates old passport detail and both are clipped togher and yes we will submit a covering letter while submitting both passports.

Do i have to inform them now ( scared that will complicate things)
or shall I explain while submitting both passports in a letter.

Thank you very much indeed and stay safe and healthy in this hard time.

Regards

Unless the passport hasn't been stolen/lost the old & new passports should ideally be stapled together which will be known to UKVI and won't cause any affect on the outcome. Regarding the lockdown nobody can advise as when the life goes back to normal as the only instruction everyone has to stay home.
Dear Seagul,

Thanks for your kind advice,

so if i write a covering letter while submitting the passport and submit both passports, would that be okay?
or shall i write to them now informing them about renewal of passport before i go ahead and submit?

My question and frustration is
1) do i tell them now?
2) or shall i explain the story when i submit the passport with a covering letter ( I would prefer this option if it wont cause any problem)

Thanks

Ask yourself that why you should write a covering letter or contact them only to tell them that you have now renewed your passport when you are supplying them the same old passport which was used in the process. Unless the passport wasn't stolen/lost it need to be ideally stapled with new passport.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

What wasn't clear before. For placing your own mind on peace then no harm in attaching such letter although it won't make any difference. Hope now you will just wait & see what happens next.
