ILR Application with Fixed Term Contract

Post by irfan278 » Mon Jan 06, 2020 5:58 pm

Hi all

My wife has been in the UK for just over 4 years on a spouse visa. 5 years will be complete next January so ILR will be due.

I started a new job in April 2019 on a 2 year fixed term contract. Does there have to be a minimum time remaining on the contract at the time of application?

Also, when is the earliest we could apply? Her visa expires mid January 2021.

Thanks

Non-issue.

What date did she enter the UK on her spouse settlement visa?

She can apply for ilr no sooner than within 28 days before the 5th anniversary of the date she entered the UK, if 15 November 2015, then 15 November 2020 minus 28 days.

If I was to change jobs would I have to have been in that job for at least 6 months before application?

No. You just need one month of salary

ILR Documents Required & Priority Service

Post by irfan278 » Wed Sep 16, 2020 2:33 pm

Hi all,

Can anybody point me in the direction on here of a 'documents required' list for ILR?

Also, has anybody used the £800 next working day decision service? Worth it or not? Is the standard wait time actually 6 months or can it be quicker?

Thanks

Topics Merged!!!

All the same financial evidence (updated and recent) as was required for a spouse visa extension with the exception of also need B1 English and LUIK and two years evidence of cohabitation documents, in both your names, from 3 to 6 different sources, spread evenly for every 3 to 4 months.

There is no super priority at the moment. It is suspended due to the backlog.

I am filling in the form today. Please see picture. I thought I would mention for future reference. I originally asked you the question a long time ago so the requirements may have changed since then. [attachment=0]payslip requirements.png

Contents of the FM SE official guidance is still unwavered despite some regular hodgepodge cropping up on the application form. Presumably you are mixing up with tier 2 where only one month of payslip is needed but for partner route application under Appendix FM SE, there has always 6 or 12 months of payslips been required.

I don't know anything about Tier 2? It's not something we have dealt with.

My wife will have been in the UK for 5 years in November on a Spouse Visa. 2.5 years originally then a further 2.5 years was approved.

We are now applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain and am completing the SET(M) form online. Can you please confirm this is the correct form?

Documents stated are usual thing ie, 6 months bank stats & payslips. Documents addressed to both of us etc. B1 test and Life in the UK test.
