Employer Letter

Post by butt5079 » Mon Jun 07, 2021 2:00 pm

Hi,
I am struggling to obtain an Employer letter. I have a printed Permanent Job Contrac, Payslips, P60, and bank statement which shows my salary each month is paid in by my employer. I have requested my employer to issue me a letter as per UKVI requirements. I have also sent them the UKVI website link with related information. My employer says, it is a reference letter and it can not be issued to me directly as per company policy. My HR has suggested to me to ask my solicitor to send a request to them and it will be issued to him or UKVI can directly contact my employer and request for this letter. Let me make it clear I will not hire any solicitor to process my family applications. Shall I send a printed email conversation to UKVI and tell them to contact my employer for this letter. Any suggestion on how to satisfy UKVI?

If at the time of application there is still no headway with your employer, print off the correspondences between you and your employer on the matter( I hope not phone conversation was what you have had). Upload it as part of documents, write a cover letter wherein you draw UKVI attention to the correspondence with your employer and quote where employer said UKVI should request it directly.

Had a similar issue, although they eventually budged (more comical because I worked in the civil service at the time, I thought they might know the law!). I was advised (whilst they still refused) that it is a legal obligation, so I simply emailed them so the refusal was in writing (note this has to be explicitly saying they won't provide you the information, not that it is somebody elses job) and planned to print out the email and send it in, with reference to that in the cover letter. Maybe have a conversation (even on the phone) just so that they're "warned" of the email coming in and don't dig their heels in anymore. Just advise you need it in writing, and then your email to them should be "In accordance with the spouse visa sponsor requirements from UKVI, please can you provide..." and all the requirements of the employer letter, and then their response saying they won't provide this to you. Over a year ago so don't quote me but I believe there is a significant fine for them for not providing this (in the thousands of £).

You have taken proper steps in securing contemporaneous evidence to back the claims you will put down in your cover letter.
Wish you the best and should there be further questions along the line, ask on the forum.

Question About Dependents

Post by butt5079 » Sat Jun 26, 2021 12:06 pm

Is ABC currently sponsoring any additional children?
(Required)
You should tell us about any additional children they are sponsoring who need a different type of visa to enter or remain in the UK

Do not include children who are:
dependants applying on this application
over 18
British Citizens
settled in the UK
EEA nationals with a right to reside in the UK under the Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2016

Hi,
I and my kids are applying for visas same time. if I click NO for the above question then the income threshold pops up at £18600 automatically but I have 2 kids applying at the same time. Is it ok to click NO?

Do you and ABC have any shared financial responsibilities?

I am applying for a visa with my kids to join my settled status husband. I do not earn, my husband sends money to me regularly to meet my financial needs. what shall I click on Yes or No?

Topics merged. It is not necessary to start a new topic with each question you have on the same application.
