Hi all,
A quick update, I received an invitation to use the IDV app. I've submitted all the documents and waiting for the decision.

(Please note that I used the IDV app for my previous ILR application)

Good luck for all of us

Good luck. Keep us posted.
Hopefully you don't have to wait too long for His Majesty's Secretary of State to give her approval!

Hi, I submitted my application on the 10th of September and I received a home office survey on the 26th of September. Does this mean that my application is processed?
BTW I still didn't get any response yet.

Thanks

I wish I knew the answer ... all we can say is they have your application.
Would be interesting to know what survey actually asks.

many people reported that receiving the survey email means a decision has been made, try to get in contact with HO about your application, it might give a nudge to sending you the decision letter etc.

I travelled outside the UK on 2018 and again 2020 (1month) less than the required time. Does that count on 3 years prior the application
Your absences count back from the application date, say you apply on 1/9/2022, it's your absences since 1/9/2019, i.e. three years (not calendar years.
I had a fine charge cancelled (driving on the residential street restrictions) I didn't mention it during my ILR application do I need to mention it now ???
If the ticket was cancelled it was cancelled, doesn't exist.
Incase I got the fine for the speed camera would it affect my application?
Well, you'll have to wait and see. You may be offered a speed awareness course which wouldn't have to be declared.
However, if you are given a fixed penalty ticket or fine then it must be declared. Refer to page 17 of the good character guidance: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... gov-uk.pdf
Not sure about the three year rule that's mentioned in the guidance .... but you have to wait and see what happens.
To be refused for driving violations you'd have to be a serial offender, not paying fines, taken to court/found guilty, etc
Can I travel outside the UK when the application is pending?
Yes.
I am extremely anxious about this and I would sincerely appreciate your help.
We've all been there ... please post further queries in this thread which has been moved to the British Citizenship forum.
A fixed penalty
notice will not normally result in refusal unless the person has failed to pay or has
unsuccessfully challenged the notice and there were subsequent criminal
proceedings resulting in a conviction. In such instances, they should be treated in
line with the sentence imposed by the court.
However, multiple fixed penalty notices over a short period of time, could
demonstrate a disregard for the law and therefore demonstrate that someone is not
of good character.

In simple words, if you were flashed, that's 3 points and 100£ fine, simply declare that on your application and it will affect your application, stop panicking...

Hi all, I just received this from the HO. Although my case is straightforward and not complicated at all
Any advice please?
We aim to process all applications within 6 months from the date submitted.  However, in certain circumstances this target is not possible. Following our assessment of your case, unfortunately it appears your application will not be processed within the 6 month target.

This is because your application raises exceptionally complex issues and we require further time to consider your case thoroughly and reach a decision.

Yours sincerely

Only UKVI can determine if an application is straightforward or not.

The email you received is a standard email when a decision cannot be made within 6 months.

Involving your MP will not make it go faster now. Informed it will take more time now.
And sometimes few days after receiving the message you get informed of decision.
