ladydear wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 9:39 pmHello everyone im new in this forum, just to let you know im in the process of applying for British Citizenship but i have some concerns to address ..i am separated since 2019 with my british citizen husband by naturalisation but we are technically married so just asking for some advice what answer shall i put on my relationship status? Married - it's not a technical status, you are legally married. One thing more shall i used the 5 years route with ILR or 3 yrs rule if u are married to a british citizen? You could use either, for the three years you need your husband's passport scan and the marriage certificate.Any answer would be helpful . Thanks ! Cheers1
ladydear wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 11:23 pmThanks altehase58, so atm i already filled up that 5 Years route or shall i change it to 3 yrs route? You can change it to 3yrs route if you can provide his passport scan for upload if not its 5yrs route
are they on the different separate form? So what you saying its fine to put im married eventhough we are no longer together? Yes
There is no issue with that - it's not an absolute rule, you can choose.ladydear wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 12:17 pmHello everyone again i apologize for being repetitive in seeking for advice. Can someone give me a clear answer on this, as i am currently married, still live in the same house but no longer together as married couple and remain as friends since 2019. My question is as i used the 5 years route form for British citizenship application and finished filling it .is it ok as i known i can use the 3 yrs route because i am married to a British Citizenship by naturalisation? Will there be a problem in the Home Office because i used 5yrs. route? Thanks and Cheers!
Which source are you referring to?
Future intentions can not be proved, you state it which in this case will be your plans to settle and remain in UK after getting your citizenship.ladydear wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 9:26 pmhi again , can someone explain to me what is the future intentions in the AN Guidance , Do i need to make a letter or what sort of documents it requires? I am applying online and how can i prove my future intentions when it was not ask on the questionaires? Thanks very much.
You can only apply online. There is no longer an NCS service. You cannot apply for naturalisation and the passport at the same time anymore. The NCS services was discontinued in November 2018.
Please refer to my previous answer - ILR holders' proof of residence is their passport(s) covering the residency period: british-citizenship/separate-but-still- ... l#p2111208.
Thanks alterhase,, what do u mean by upload? where can i upload all this documents? I have made them photocopied ready for submission after i submit my application? Can u make clear on this one please?alterhase58 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 9:05 pmFor the appointment you only bring your passport and BRP. Unless you have paid extra for document scanning. Upload everything before the appointment. Note UKVCAS are not UKVI caseworkers .
Documents you should load:
- passport
- BRP
- English Test
- lit uk test
- Referee Declarations
