Confirmation on Tier 2

Post by Samanthabehr90 » Fri Sep 23, 2016 12:11 pm

I've been offered a position, however when it comes to the Tier 2 visa, when I go back home and apply and gain acceptance (because now I have a sponsor via employer) will I have to wait the allotted 3 months it suggests, or can I book a flight immediately?

I suppose it has to do with the first inquiry, yes.
The second inquiry was an honest question about the steps we would have to take in order for us to become married, because we both have had our questions about the steps to do so. And the information provided by the UK visa website confuses the both of us.
We don't want to have to rush it towards the alter, I already plan on spending the rest of my life with him, but I would like to have a career and help plan for a special day in a not to distant future.
So, again - if once accepted for Tier 2 Visa because of sponsorship will I have to wait the 3 months, will it be longer, or as soon as I gain acceptance will I be able to fly back and start my career?

So going with the first link, have you found a HO approved sponsor who you will be working for only?

Has the sponsor completed the full and proper RLMT process BEFORE offering you the job?

I don't understand what you mean by 'wait the 3 months'? Wait for what?

Yes to both, and I figured it out - I was simply reading too much into the information provided on the website.
You can apply for a visa up to 3 months before the day you’re due to start work in the UK. This date is listed on your certificate of sponsorship.
