FLR(M) dependent Or Tier 1 General

Guys please help me with my query i am due to apply for FLR for my self as i have completed my 5 years on tier 1 general by next month .



My wife's visa (tier 1 General dependent) is going to expire on the same time of my visa expiry date(tier 1 General). i have called home office to ask weather i should apply for her Tier 1 General Dependent extension or FLRM as she just got tier 1 general visa couple of month ago or apply her visa as FLR dependent . the lady on the phone told me that i have to apply for Tier 1 General Depended Extension and i have to show maintenance funds for her she told me that i can't apply FLRM for my wife .


please guide me let me know which is the best way to go for .or someone can share their experience

i have questions if you or someone else can help me on this issue

1 : if i apply tier 1 general Dependent for my wife then what is the maintenance requirement ?
2 : if i apply my ILR and for my wife FLRM then what is the maintenance requirement ?

please let me know from your best knowledge

There is no maintenance requirement BUT you have to provide evidence that you meet the financial requirement of £18,600pa.
