Visa submission acknowledgement/BRP letter

Post by jonno22 » Tue Jan 17, 2017 9:52 am

Hello.

My wife and I submitted my wife's FLR(M) application by post on 04/01/17, and we have not as yet received and BRP application or acknowledgement from HO regarding the application, although payment has been taken.
How long should we wait before contacting UKVI to enquire about the whereabouts of the BRP application?
Also, is the letter sent signed for, so the HO know when we have received it?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. when the application is complete and the decision is made I will post the full application timeline in the correct section.

No, HO send letters standard class mail.

It could take a few weeks, suggest wait a bit longer.

Based on other categories in past usually HO sends acknowledgment letter within 7-10 days followed by biometrics invitation letter around 4-5 weeks but you should check your email spam folder too because many times HO sends acknowledgment letter via email too but biometrics invitation letter always comes in post.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

We still have not received any acknowledgement letter/email, and its been two weeks now. If we have not received any acknowledgement by Friday I'll give them a call.
