Help with 'logistics' of applying for Spouse visa Pakistan

Post by tichky » Mon Feb 20, 2017 1:38 pm

Dear Forum,
2 questions please:
1) I am getting married in Pakistan at the beginning of May. I will be staying on in Pakistan with my partner after the marriage, and I want to apply for the VISA as soon as possible after the wedding. I'm pretty in knowing what documents/proof etc I need. The thing is should I take all my documents with me to Pakistan, then I can include the last few documents I need to add eg- nikkah papers. then post everything from Pakistan to the UK via courier?

The last payslip I can ask my work place to email me a verified copy to include in my bundle, everything else I am preparing beforehand.

Or the other option I have is to leave all the paperwork with my sister and get her to send it off, shes coming to the wedding then will be flying back after 1 week.

If anybody has any thoughts ideas on the best way to do this, I would really appreciate this.

2) The TB test and English test, can these be done in advance, if so how far in advance? meaning how long do the certificates last? Also how do we go about booking these in for future hubby?

Thank you.

If the documents date not get older than 28 days from the application time then I think best is to keep all documents with your sister who can send the whole package on your behalf from UK and preferably tell your employer to send you original/stamped payslips by post instead email. Tb test usually valid for 6 months but I believe English test last longer but about English test your wife must have passed the required test at HO list of test providers. IELTS academic won't work.
Moreover, if the marriage is arranged and you applying soon after the marriage then in my opinion you write a covering letter to tell the caseworker that its an arranged marriage and you don't have much evidences of subsisting relationship. If not an arranged marriage then try to attach as much as you can regarding subsisting relationship.

The links given by CR001 you must study while preparing application and additionally read the member success stories with the documents they attached.

All the best.
