ive faced the same problem my partner had a pvt housing property i wanted to move in with her but Housing didnt allowed they sent my ho ref number ( i was asylym seeker) that time and they didnt allowed coz of i had no right to rent they clearly said neither rent or move he cant. its just the law now but if you rent a house from a pvt landlord they might provide letter
Post in public so all may benefit. If you cannot post such information on the public forum, then it is either dodgy or illegal or a circumvention of the rules. A person without legal status does not have the right to rent.munirabid wrote:send me private email and i will give you trick how to get right to rentminhas23 wrote:Hi

You are right that such a condition covers both parties. On the landlord forum I belong to, this question comes up so often. Landlords reluctant to rent to visa applicants who are either applying from outside the UK or are in the process of extension or who only have say 4 months left. The argument is that there is no guarantee they will get another visa and then the landlord incurs enormous costs to evict and possibly face fines.seagul wrote:A lot of private landlords themselves facing visa issues and don't want to contact HO rather prefer those tenants who have straight forward rent to rent. I practically seen these cases. In my opinion whenver taking accomodation for spouse visa purposes then always inform beforehand to landlords as what might be needed later on. In my opinion even the visa is in process then still landlord should give the permission to live to the sponsor's partner by highlighting a condition that only incase of successful grant of visa.
No it isn't, it is called protecting their investment/income. A landlord is free to choose their tenants.munirabid wrote:but if someone made immigration application and he will normally get 12 months right to rent and Landlord need re check after 12 months times and if Landlord deny to let the property if person got permission right to rent from HO, then its totally discrimination.
