told i need 6 months of wage slips

Post by Harfar » Thu Jun 22, 2017 9:34 am

Hi,

Firstly i am new user and dont know how to write new questions. I am just writing in it.
I am confuse about combining jobs. I am doing one job that is zero hour contract job and in the end of fainacial i am expected to fulfil 18600 £ but as some time i dont get enough hour so i am worried about it and thinking to do another job.
My question is : can i do any other zero hour job ? And combine 2 jobs that are zero hour ones? In this case, can i apply after six months if i fulfil the 18600 £ requirement ?

Plz answer

It's a tough one, I can't find anything in the rules about 0 hours contracts. It really depends upon whether they consider you as being under salaried employment or self employment. Since you do presumably have a contract despite it unfortunately being worth £0 in terms of future income I would assume it can be counted as salaried and treated under these rules.

You can definitely combine income from 2 jobs and this may go in your favour given the circumstances.

Zero hours contract is just pay as you go work where wages vary depending on the hours worked, therefore, should be classified as non-salaried person. In my point of view category B may come into play where a person is earning variable income and/or not earning the required threshold. Where the salary must meet required threshold in two ways. First during the last 12 months the aggregation of jobs must have yielded £18600. And secondly the aggregation of all 6 months jobs by taking its average (if non-salaried) meets the minimum income threshold.
