ICT to Tier2 General Dependent to Tier 2 General cooling off.

Post by donish » Thu Aug 24, 2017 2:12 pm

I came to UK by 2013 in Tier2 ICT visa and by 2016 as my wife got a Tier 2 general visa I switched my ICT visa to Tier2 General dependent visa on Nov 2016.
Now my employer is ready to sponsor me around September/October 2017 to switch from Tier 2 General Dependent to Tier 2 General visa so is my cooling off period from previous ICT visa applicable for my current entry clearance?.

Your 12 months cooling off will complete on the same corresponding date your dependent visa was issued in 2016. So if this was issued on 1st November 2016, you can only apply for Tier 2 after this date in 2017.

You must have held the dependent visa for a full 12 months.

Hi,

I am also in the same situation. so did your employer apply for Cos in october 2017 and you applied for visa in November (after exactly 1 year)? You applied in home country, right?
