Route for spouse - Main applying ILR LR

Post by Vesh123 » Wed Sep 13, 2017 11:07 am

Hi . Could anyone help me , I'm going to apply ILR(LR) on long residence basis(10 year route). For my wife should I apply for FLR(m) or FLR(dp)? She is in the uk for last 3 years. If FLR(FP) then do I need to fulfill the 18k requirements?

I would be very thankful if some one help me with my confusion.

Thanks
Vesh

FLR(M) requires the financial requirement of £18,600pa (assuming no children otherwise it is more) and will be a new 5 year route to ILR (2 x 2.5 year visas). She cannot use the 3 years already spent in the UK towards this new 5 year period, the 3 years will be lost.

FLR(FP) for if you don't meet the requirement. New 10 year route to ILR (4 x 2.5 year visas).

All of this was already advised in the post below.

Please do not ask spouse visa questions in the long residence ILR topic.

You should be aware that ILR LR will have the same checks done as what you had done for Tier 1 G to ILR. If your ILR fails, FLR(M)/FLR(FP) will also fail.

Hi , can anyone help me with my question regarding FLR(FP) for my wife. I’m applying on the basis of Set (LR) for myself , so does she needs to pass the English test for FLR(FP)?

Hope to hear from someone soon.

Thanks
Vesh
