Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) £3000

Post by gentle27 » Sun Oct 01, 2017 12:16 pm

Hi,

My husband was granted his ILR and now mine & my daughters visa's are about to expire and I am applying for an extension( TIER 2- general dependent). I have already answered all the questions in the application and now when it comes to the IHS charge it is asking me to pay £3000 when I should be paying £1200 for me and my daughter. How can I change this?

Looking forward to a reply & thank you in advance,

Adina

You must apply alone and not put your husbands ILR expiry date in.

See similar issue and resolution in link below.

Thank you CR001

I have applied alone I'm confused what I am doing wrong? What expiry date should I put? it doesn't give me an option not to put his expiry date

Seems like I will have to do a new application cause its stuck on the £3000

Thank you so much for your time

Thank you for the link-

Unfortunately that resolution doesn't help me:( as I am applying for priority service.

Another example of 'applying alone' and not 'joining or remaining with a spouse'.

Any overpayment will be refunded if you are not able to pay the IHS separately on the IHS website to generate the reference number.

Thank you, I'm still really confused, I am applying alone.

So I can just pay this and get a refund after my application is granted?

Thank you,

Adina
