did you opt for paper hearing or oral hearing? I understand that paper hearings tend to be listed a lot quicker.hopeforwk wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2017 5:17 pmI am worried as the usual appeal process was taking long in recent past times and mine was processed within a month , haven't heard of this from anyone, I understand that it could also be a good sign for me , but I just wanted to know if any one else who may have lodged appeal recently has got an appeal date that soon .In my particular case a later hearing date would have helped but as things are not in my hand so I don't intend to rely on any delaying tactics as suggested.
Could someone please share if they have got a hearing date recently...Thanks.
How long after receiving the confirmation letter of fees did you receive the appeal date?hopeforwk wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2017 11:57 amHi
Flr Fp ( 7year Child ) Refused September 2017 ,Appeal Lodged and now received a hearing date of March 2018.I was not expecting to hear from them this early ,Is that normal I thought there were delays of up to 1 year at least.
Is it a good sign , I am really worried ,Child turning 9 this January......Please Please advise

We opted for an oral hearing,The appeal fee was taken out approximately 2 weeks of lodging the appeal and another 10 days later i got the hearing date so all in all it took approx 4 weeks . For some people that is very positive as they have to wait before the appeal can be heard but in my case I thought it helps me if it would have come a little later. The longer the child has spent time in the UK the stronger the case is according to the courts.
My child will be just over 9 years when the appeal will be heard, born in the UK , I thought it would have helped if it was near his 10th birthday ,Both parents status is Precarious! More weight is given to the public interest if the parents have poor immigration history
I don't know what can prove that it would be unreasonable to remove the child from the UK with parents unlawful status .I don't know the way out !!! Feeling depressed!!
Any advise will be much appreciated !!
Thanks for your support and your comforting words it means a lot!,It has been a very long and hard struggle ,I will be hoping to get some success at the hearing if not then to go to the upper tribunal ,have no other choice but to wait!doubledee wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2017 11:42 amhopeforwk wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2017 7:59 amdoubledee wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2017 7:11 pmdid you opt for paper hearing or oral hearing? I understand how you are feeling, but please try not to be depressed, you have a HIGH chance of winning in appeal. Also, please remember that this is just First Tier tribunal, if the appeal is dismissed (i pray not), you will be given 14 days in which to appeal to the upper tribunal and so on, in all that time, your child will keep getting older, i believe the legal process could continue to Court of Appeal, Judicial review, etc, so definitely your son will turn 10 in the time.
Relax, very soon, it will all be over.
