Switch to Tier 2 General from Tier 2 ICT dependent

Post by pinaki » Tue Aug 29, 2017 3:04 pm

Hello, Can my wife on Tier 2 ICT dependent visa currently, switch to Tier 2 General visa, if she has found a sponsor on her own?

PS. We were granted Tier 2 ICT visa in Oct 2016.

Thanks!

Yes, but she cannot 'switch', this implies a switch within the UK.

She has to apply from home country once the full and proper RLMT is completed and she is offered the job and CoS issued.

Thank you for your kind response.
Can she apply immediately or would she need to serve any cooling period?
Thanks again!

T2 ICT Dependent Visa to Fresh Visa

Post by pinaki » Thu Nov 16, 2017 10:47 am

Hello friends! My wife moved to UK with a Tier 2 ICT dependent visa, and now she has a sponsor for Tier 2 visa. Can she apply for a fresh visa without surrendering her current dependent visa? And would the cooling period apply to her?

Note: we are citizens of India

Thanks!

Her dependent visa will automatically be cancelled if she is granted a Tier 2 General visa. She is not able to hold two UK visas simultaneously.

Cooling off period DOES NOT apply to PBS Dependents applying for main PBS route visas.

Already advised when you asked the question previously in August and asking again will not change the answers.

I was sure I received an answer on this before, but I was not able to find out where it went, so reposted - it was not intentional.
