Tier 2 ICT Dependent to Tier 2 General

Post by noname123 » Thu Nov 23, 2017 11:18 am

Hi

My husband has got an Job opportunity who are willing to sponsor for him under Tier 2 General he is currently in Tier 2 ICT dependent visa category.

1)The query is can his dependents (wife and kid) also apply along with him from the home country when he is applying for Tier 2 General visa.

2)For Maintenance Funds, for the 2 months the balance was in wife's bank account and for one month the balance was in my husbands account ,I had transferred the money into his account.
Will ECO accept this .The balance was with us but it has been in two different accounts.
Will non continuity of funds maintenance in the same account pose an issue.
Our sponsor is an A rated sponsor though.

Your urgent advise on the above two queries will be highly appreciated.

Regards
Kavitha

Assuming you are the main ICT visa holder, you can apply for dependent visa when he returns to the UK with an approved Tier 2 General visa. No need to apply from home country as dependents.

Yes you can. Not sure why you believe you can't.

You will have to inform your ICT sponsor that your visa has changed as your ICT visa will be cancelled once your PBS Dependent visa is granted (if your spouse is successful with his visa).

No.

I have specifically not answered this one as I am not sure if the non-continuity for 90 days is a problem or not.

If rejected it does not affect any other valid visa you hold.

Post by noname123 » Fri Nov 24, 2017 1:49 pm

Hi

My husband is applying for Tier 2 general visa.
When getting the certification from UK naric .
They have confirmed that the degree meets the requirements of CEFR level C1.
Is this an issue.

Sorry

My query is in the guidance document it says that UK naric should certify that the qualification as being equivalent to a UK bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or PhD.
But in the certification which we received it says it is considered to meet the requirements of level CEFR level C1.

My question is whether this contradiction an issue.

Which NARIC option did he use??

The link below is the correct one :

https://www.naric.org.uk/visas%20and%20nationality
that confirm your academic qualification level and/or English language proficiency – as appropriate for your personal circumstances and immigration route.

Hi

Another friend of mine who had already got Tier 2 General Visa ,showed the UK NARIC certification which clearly mentions the statement

UK NARIC post evaluation could confirm that the qualification is equivalent to UK Bachelors Degree

But ours just mentions UK Qualification level-Bachelors Degree.

That is the reason I was panicking and wanted your advise.

1. It depends what his CoS says and if he is shortage occupation SOC or not.

2. Depends what his SOC and job is and if he is required to have one.
