MN1 Tracking - Case Number Not Valid

Hi Forum experts,

I require some help in terms of tracking MN1 application.

We submitted a JCAP application via our council on 21-Oct-17 and were told to use the JCAP reference number to track the application. We received the email acknowledgement on 31-Oct-17 with a case number.

We enrolled for Biometrics on 07-Nov-17 and got no further news. On 23-Nov, I filled an online form checking on the status - hmpowebform@gov.klick2contact.com and got their reply that read as:

"I can confirm that your passport application was received by the Liverpool Passport Office. Your passport application is currently awaiting examination.

Your passport application will be processed once HM Passport Office has received notification from UK Visa's and Immigration that the citizenship application has been completed."


Just being curious to get an update on the application I stumbled upon the tracking link (below) but it is not accepting the case number (from email without preceding 0 as mentioned on the site) or JCAP reference numbers (tried all possible variations with and without letters)

It returns to Reference Number Not Recognised. Any clues as to why is it happening? How can I check the status otherwise?

Not everyone seems able to track their application on the online checking system, which is a BETA/Trial system and not 'live'.

There is already a dedicated topic for the online checking system queries.
