Settlement ( Spouse visa - 5 year route )

Post by Happy28 » Mon Nov 27, 2017 1:25 pm

Hello Everyone,

I need to submit my settlement application in 2 weeks time, however there are couple requirements which are not too clear to me, so wondering if anyone here can help me:

Financial requirement and proof of address:
Do I need to prepare the document for 5 years or just the last 2.5 years ?

Evidence of continuous residence in the UK :
a)What kind of document do I need to provide ?
b)Do I need to prepare the document for last 5 years ?

Thanks so much for the helps !!

Financial requirements is either 6 months or 12 months depending on the category of income you are relying on.
Cohabitation/subsisting relationship is the 2 years preceding your application.
Evidence of continuous residence in the UK :
a)What kind of document do I need to provide ?
b)Do I need to prepare the document for last 5 years ?
Usually passport. Have you looked at the Set(M)form???

Thanks ! I have read the SET(M) firm, however i didn't see anywhere mentioned the required document for the evidence of continuous residence in the UK. Can you let me know where the form provides the information ?

Thanks again!

In terms of the continouse residence in the UK requirement, does anyone know if there is a requirement of days outside the UK ? I couldn't find any rules, I.e 180 days for spouse visa settlement .

Thanks everyone !

Help- Spouse visa settlement

Post by Happy28 » Thu Dec 14, 2017 2:21 pm

Hi All,

I need to submit my application in next few days and reviewing the requirement and my document. There is a requirement of providing evidence of showing intention of living with partner in the UK permanently in the UK. Is the proof of address also satisfy thus requirement or do I need to provide other document? If so, what other document do I need to provide?

Thanks all in advance!
