Can I use 2 salaried jobs and 1 non salaried for Category A? Spouse Visa

Spouse Visa - Should I earn £1550 before or after tax?

Hi,

Quick question. Got a job. Going to apply for spouse visa in a few months.

Just wanted to find out, what's the minimum of gross payment my payslips must show per month?

I heard it's £1550 gross pay or should that be net pay per month? So confused. Need help cuz I will earn £1590 per month gross but after tax deductions, I will receive around £1272 into my bank account for which the Home Office will see from my bank statement during spouse visa application process.

Is this okay or do I HAVE to receive at least £1550 MINIMUM into my bank account even after tax? Bit stressed here. Please help asap. Many thanks.

Before tax, assuming you're not self-employed. There's no requirement to retain funds in your bank account. You must submit your most recent 6 months payslips + the corresponding bank statements.

By the way, I've been looking online for a comprehensive list of documents required for the spouse visa to be accepted but weren't able to find so. Does anyone know what's the complete list of documents I would need please? I would really appreciate it.Thanks. :)

P.S. if I bring my wife here and in the future, we have a child here born in the UK, do I have to meet any extra financial requirement? What will happen to my wife's immigration status/visa if we have a child born here in the UK?

Search the forum, loads of examples of what needs to be submitted. The online form and Appendix FM will also tell you what you need.

Yes you still need to meet the same financial requirement. No extra financial requirement if the child is British. Also, having a child does not change your wife's immigration/visa status either.

Hi there,

I’m a British born citizen who is working two jobs to meet the minimum financial requirement for spouse visa. They are salaried employment and I know I need to show at least 6 months of payslips and bank statements. I also work overtime in order to make up the differences.

My main job (Job 1) is a zero hour contract where the annual rate is £15,491 if I get offered to work full shift. My second job (Job 2 - retail) is a permanent contract where the annual rate is £9,600. It’s flexible this position.
The breakdowns for those two jobs in last 6 months are as follows:


Job 1 (NHS Administrator – Zero Hour Contract):
May 2017: £1621.60
June 2017: £1378.36
July 2017: £1540.52
August 2017: £0.00 (No shift)
September 2017: £0.00 (No shift)
October 2017: £0.00 (No shift)


Job 2 (Retailing – Flexible - Permanent):
May 2017: £500
June 2017: £500
July 2017: £500
August 2017: £1600
September 2017: £1600
October 2017: £1600



Because there was no shifts in the last 3 months for my NHS zero hour contract, would this cause an issue in regards of meeting the financial requirement for Spouse Visa application?

I mean, I have made the differences with my retail job and I am still employed with both of the jobs. I’m quite nervous and I do not wish to apply until I am 100% sure I know what to do as I do not want it to be rejected and then I’d have to go through the painful process of appeal if eligible.

Please let me know soon. Thanks.

Preferably category B is better if you have earned £18600 during last 12 months with the mixture of all +recently held job.

Ahh i see. I have calculated the total amount per month over the course of 6 months. For convenience purpose, here it is:

£2,121.60 May-17
£1,878.36 Jun-17
£2,040.52 Jul-17
£1,600.00 Aug-17
£1,600.00 Sep-17
£1,600.00 Oct-17

All this time, I was wondering if i should apply under category A or B. I though for category B you have to show last 12 months not 6 months. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

And in my case, in regards of my zero hour contract, i get paid weekly. I'm just wondering will my income be calculated by the number of weeks earned multiplied by 52 weeks or will it be done by adding up last 6 months total, divide by 6 and multiply by 12?

Hi there,

I’m a British born citizen who is working 3 jobs to meet the minimum financial requirement for spouse visa.

They are salaried employment (and one non-salaried from NHS zero hour contract) and I want to show at least 6 months of payslips and bank statements when applying under category A. Under this category, would the Spouse Visa be refused? I'm worried.

The breakdowns for those three jobs in last 6 months are as follows:
