HR forgot to renew sponsorship licence

Hi, I was due to apply for ILR on 17th November 2017 (completing 5 years under Tier 2 General). But my sponsor's licence expired just 20 days before this, as they forgot to renew the licence. They then applied for a new licence and obtained a licence on 6th January 2018. The new licence number is different from the old licence number. I am still working for the same company. Can my existing visa be transferred under the new licence? Can I apply for settlement in this situation? I have not received a curtailment letter yet, and have valid leave until 15 March 2018. Please advise. Thanks!

Hi sorry that no one could your reply your post here. I don’t have confirmed answer for your query but I guess you need to apply a new T2 general and then apply for settlement.
I am in the same boat as you, except that I have curtailment letter now and my HR has applied for license. Can you please let me know how long the license application took ? I would be really grateful if some one can reply to this post. Thank you
