RLMT ads

Post by krishpa » Thu Jan 11, 2018 7:24 pm

Hello gurus,

Can you guys please clarify me on this as my company has mentioned as a competitive salary and no closing date provided. would that be any issue?

I doubled check with the HR, they said that should be fine as they have sponsored a few people already.

Hi

The following are mandatory points which must be included on all adverts:

• Job title
• Location of the job
• Indication of salary package
• Main duties and responsibilities
• Requirements
• Posting / Closing dates

Thanks

Thanks for your comments.

But they have mentioned only of "competitive salary" also they did not mention of Closing date either, I do not know how to ask them as they are being a huge firm and not aware of this?

They told me that they are sponsoring me.

Should it be fine? please advise?

Competitive salary is not an issue particularly for big firms as they tend to pay well but closing date is mandatory I guess unless it's rolling advertisement. There is no harm in asking them about closing date. I also enquired with my sponsor about competitive salary mentioned in the ad and they clarified it. I don't know the concept of rolling advertisement.

Thank you for your comments which is a bit relief.

I do not understand that how do they calculating points, for an example, this month points of 55? but usually 21 points isn't, but how do they calculate? could you please clarify me on this as for my information so I can be more aware and careful of these processes.

Many Thanks

Please refer to page 124 in https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... 8_v1.0.pdf

Rolling recruitment campaigns
28.36 Rolling recruitment programmes allow companies to pick out skilled individuals
who might fill future, undefined vacancies rather than specific ones.
28.37 We understand why you may want to identify migrants through these
programmes and we don’t want to stop this happening. However, to meet the
requirements of the resident labour market test when a specific vacancy
becomes available, it must be advertised as set out in this guidance to give
settled workers a chance to apply.

The ads should state a closing date as far as I am aware.

They can close the ad at any point.

It is confusing actully.

Appropriate salary = 20 points
RLMT passed = 30 points

but how to calculating for the requesting COS to HO. I know this is an employer job to do. but I would like to know how this works as I found on monthly allocation points of 55 in dec and Jan in 46 points.

Please clarify me, would you mind?

Thanks CR001.

Hi Krishpa,

You can find how to calculate the CoS points in the Sponsor Guidance Notes link. It's on page 130 & 131, under 'Criteria' Section 29.18.
