Tier 2 General dependant to Tier 4

Post by kumar114 » Fri Mar 02, 2018 2:28 pm

Hi,
I have 2 question to ask.
1. Does the dependant(Tier 2 General) has to give IELTS if she/he wants to switch to Tier 4?
2. Can she/he switch from here in UK itself or has to go back to home country?

Kind Regards
Kumar

Yes, if the Tier 4 sponsor requires IELTS. If not, no. See https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa/ ... of-english

How early can I apply for September course

Post by kumar114 » Sun Mar 04, 2018 3:22 pm

Hi,
I am currently on a Tier 2(general) VISA expiring after 1 year.
Now planning to study.
I have 2 questions
1. I have already finished Master degree here in 2010. Is there a chance of rejection as I will be applying for masters degree again(but of-course different course)?
2. For the courses starting September, how early can I apply?

Kind Regards
Rayesh

See multiple topics/posts (click)

The same rules apply to multiple topics in the Tier 4 sub forum as the Tier 2 sub forum, where you have previously been asked to keep questions in one topic.

Sorry I do not understand.
Do you want me to continue on that Tier 2 topic even if I have question relating to Tier 4?
:?

Kind Regards

I have merged your two topics in the tier 4 sub forum (this thread). Keep all questions on the same application here.

My reference to the tier 2 forum was merely a reference to the fact that you have been asked to do this before with a link to the multiple topics/posts link.

It is your Tier 4 sponsor who assesses your academic suitability for the course. If they offer you a place on a course, they also need to decide whether it represents academic progress on previous studies you did under Tier 4. If it does, they will note this on the CAS and you can apply in the UK. If it does not, you will need to apply in your home country, with the normal checks of your credibility as a genuine student.

As soon as the Tier 4 sponsor has issued the CAS, which can be a maximum 3 months before the start of the course.
