Travel to spain

Post by Hopejoce17 » Wed Mar 14, 2018 11:43 pm

Good evening all,
Does anyone know if my husband who is here on a spouse visa from Jamaica, need a visa to travel to Spain for a week? He has a biometric residence permit, but I have received conflicting information saying he just needs to have his passport , his biometric card, his marriage cert and I need to travel with him then I was told this is wrong and he needs a visa which is free but takes 3 weeks to get!

We are travelling on Tuesday 20th March, or at least we are supposed to be.......!

Grateful for any info received and any experiences of this situation.

Thanks in advance :D

He needs a visa. His spouse visa is only relevant to the UK.

He will certainly need the visa to travel to Spain. He should apply for schengen visa. Only the family members of EU nationals with eu residence permit don't need the visa.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Without a Schengen visa the airline won't allow him to travel.
