Spouse visa and £18,600

Post by Alz3eem2002 » Mon Feb 19, 2018 9:45 am

Dear Forum,

I have just received my ILR a month ago and wanting to apply for a spouse visa for my wife.

I have being with my main Primary Employer for 4 years. I had an increase of wage in August 2016 to 18,600.
In January 2018 my wage increased to 18,900.

I have prepared everything needed to submit like the wage slips and bank statements.
So my wage slips covers from January 2018 to May 2017.

Do you think the increase would be an issue, or do I have to wait another 6 months.

Just to make you aware I have another part time job which I work on weekends and get annually around £6000.

Hi There

In my opinion an increase in payment is always good, but maybe have a supporting letter to say there was an increase, sometimes you have to spell it out for them!

Good luck !

Do not mention second job as you already meet requirement with main job. It may confuse ECO.

-Employer letter
-6 months payslip
-6 months bank statement
-contract

Thanks for the reply guys. But I got the wage slips for both jobs and a covering letter from both aswell.

So my solicitor will do a spreadsheet showing both jobs income and total.

I know what you mean by not confusing them but both jobs are ones where they cant get it wrong. As in I am sending them both wage slips for 6 months plus the bank statements which show the amount.

Covering letter with both stating I started 4 years ago and my main job stating when the increase was and how much I earn annually.

Both jobs are well know organisations.
Telecommunication company xxxxxxx) part time + and my primary job civil engineer practice full time.

You would be surprised what they could get wrong!

We applied for fiance visa in September and I had 2 payslips for august as I changed job, and for some reason they refused us saying that i as the sponsor didn't meet the financial requirements (i earn 20k a year!??)

Thats why I said its better to have a supporting letter, you have to idiot proof things for Entry clearance officers lol, but it shouldn't be a problem for you i hope

I think a lot of times it comes down to how the ECO is feeling on the day when they look at your bundle. If they had a bad morning / evening it can have a influence on your application. I hope everyone waiting get a just, and fair ECO looking at the bundle.

Spousal visa ENQUIRY

Post by Alz3eem2002 » Wed Mar 07, 2018 1:15 pm

Hi dear forum,

1 - Just a quick question when does the week calculation start (PRIORITY). Is it from the date the biometric has being done or is it when they receive the documented evidence.
I have applied for online priority application on the 15th February 2018 and my wife did the biometrics in Egypt on the 22nd February 2018.Documents received by the Home Office via postal on the 2nd March.
2.How long does it take for priority?

Thanks in advance for the comments. This forum is very useful.....

You calculate weekdays only 1 week = 5 days. You also exclude bank holidays.

They aim to process within 30 days. Am surprised you aren't aware of this provided you paid extra for this service.

Never been told other than it takes 5 to 6 weeks from my solicitor.

I received an email today saying they have received my supporting documents and it takes 60 days.
If its a priority it will be put to the front of the que.. THATS IT..

SPOUSE VISA SHEFFIELD EMAIL

Post by Alz3eem2002 » Fri Mar 16, 2018 1:59 pm

1. I have applied for the spousal visa on the 15th April 2018 (online application).
22nd April 2018 wife did her biometrics. 5th of March they received the documents in Sheffield checked the parcel force tracking and someone has signed).
Just to note that since the 5th of March I had no notification email of documents being received by them and had no documents sent back. On this forum I have seen applicants receive their documents back within a week or 2.

2. Can anyone please tell me the email and telephone number to contact them (Sheffield spousal visa section) which I know is chargeable.

Regards to the most useful forum.

Home Office get 100000's of application they do not communicate with everyone. Some people get documents back after a decision is made.

It hasnt even been 30 working days, have some patience.
