Spouse Visa Requirements

Post by ChockMan » Mon Mar 26, 2018 12:42 pm

Hi,

I am planning on starting visa application for my partner shortly and wanted to get some advice on what documents I will need to have and in what form. I am a British Citizen.

I have the below documents, are they suffcient?
  • Marriage certificate including transaltion
  • IELTS Life Skills A1 - English Languauge Test certificate (Recently passed) for my partner
  • Medical Test Certificate for my partner - TB test
  • Letter from employer stating my salary and length of work
  • My PaySlips. Not originals. Printed form as payslips are online and not paper based. My company does not issue paper based PaySlips
  • Accomodation agreement. As well as that, letter from landlord stating there are no issues with my partner living at the same property
  • Proof of relationship in form of WhatsApp calls and messages etc. Is this sufficient? Pictures from marriage and time spent as well
Recently I heard that the medical test certificate and the English test certificate is not required when filling out the application and they should be in my partner's posession, is this true?

Thanky you.

Online payslips need to be stamped and signed by your employer.

What about the 6 months corresponding bank statements??

Where is your spouse applying from??

Hi CR001, thanks for replying.

My employer does not have stamps, will signature from HR manager suffice?
I have 6 months of bank statements as well, missed that.

I will be applying from the UK. My partner is in Afghanistan but will be travelling to India for this.

Is it also correct that I will need to return the Medical Certificate and the English Test certificate back to my partner?

Medical test certificate and the English test certificate is not required when filling out the application and they should be in my partner's posession, is this true?

Why your employer don't have stamp
TB test report and English test should be sent along with the same package of all documents suppose to send to Sheffield. They dont need at biometrics time.

A letter in company headed paper with signature from HR manager will suffice to authenticate payslips and also salary details.
