Have you read the Tier 2 guidance :?:
https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/knowledge-of-english

Knowledge of English
You may need to prove your knowledge of the English language when you apply.
You can prove your knowledge of English by either:
passing an approved English language test with at least CEFR level B1 in reading, writing, speaking and listening
having an academic qualification that was taught in English and is recognised by UK NARIC as being equivalent to a UK bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or PhD
You may be able to meet the English language requirement in other ways or need a higher level of English in some circumstances. Check the full visa guidance for detailed information.

Hi

As per my knowledge , if your university approved by NARIC also you need to provide NAARIC Certificate of English Assessment at consulate while applying for VISA. If it is approved by NARIC , then while applying for NARIC assessment documents , you need not provide the University Letter for you Medium of Study , If you are in their approved university list.

I am not in their approved University and applied for English assessments few months before, so they ask me to provide the Medium of Study letter from my university.

I am applying for General but all of my friends went through ICT and neither of them submitted NARIC Certificate.
So , I am wondering if it is only required for Tier 2 general Visa?

It is required for Tier 2 General.

Tier 2 ICT is a different sub category with slightly different rules. Suggest don't confuse the two routes.

Hi Kirthi,
Though my University is approved by NARIC but still they asked for Letter of Medium of Study.
