Immigration Advise Needed -Urgently

Both my husband and I are British citizens . He has a daughter (from previous marriage) she's not a British citizen and never been to the UK. My husband has passed away recently. My questions are:
1. Can she apply for a resident visa as her father was a British citizen when he passed away?
2.Or can she apply for a family visa to visit me?

Please note that my step daughter lives in Africa and does not have have a UK/EU passport.

She can apply for a visitor visa if she qualifies.

How old is the daughter??

Thanks for your reply. My step daughter is 55years old and her mum is egyption and lives in Egypt.

Sorry no chance of a settlement visa/residence visa etc unfortunately.

To qualify as a visitor, she will need to prove her strong ties to her home country (social, family, economic, property, employment, savings etc etc).
