Tier 4 rejected: switching to tier 2

Hi there,

My tier 4 application was just rejected as invalid. My visa expired on the day of the last application. I’ve an informal job offer with tier 2 sponsorship. However, I may not get the official job offer before 14 days of the rejection. My target is to get a tier 2 visa. My question is:

(1) 14 days mentioned in tier 2 guidance is 14 working days, right?

(2) Should I make a fresh tier 4 application now and vary it to a tier 2 application as soon as I receive the official job offer?

I’m not sure if my new tier 4 application will be auto rejected as I’m now an overstayer for 3 calendar days from the receipt of the decision or 47 calendar days from the date of application. University is pushing me to leave UK or suspend my studies until I receive a visa. New tier 4 application will be refused because I have to submit the old bank statement.

(3) Any other option within tier 2 or 4 routes?

1. It is 14 days not work days as far as I understand.

2. Your choice if you have a CAS and meet the requirements and your university supports your application. As you don't state in any of your topics you have started in Tier 4 or Tier 2 sub forum why it was rejected as invalid, difficult to answer your query.
