You both have to attend an appointment at an HO approved Registry office to give 28 days notice. Passports and visas must be taken with.What would the procedure be to get married in the UK as she is a visa holder?
Is it just giving notice to the local council and then proceeding with the civil ceremony?
Yes, they do and HO might extend the 28 days notice to 70 days to possibly investigate and/or interview each of you separately before granting permission to marry.I've heard that the local council will refer the application to get married to the Home office if it is a foreign national?
For the Registry office, passports and proof of visass.If so I need to provide any evidence?
