Yes, if you meet the requirements, including being physically present exactly 3 years go on the date you apply for citizenship.
the spouse must be british at the time of the permanent residency?
No.

Additional employment 10 years?

Post by Whippino » Tue Jun 19, 2018 3:38 pm

Hello, the new online application is asking 10 years of employment?

I thought it was either 3 or 5 years route, we are doing the 3 years route and we are in front of a page asking:

Additional employment
You must provide your employment history for the past 10 years or since you have been in the UK

10 years employment if you have been in the UK that long or as the question also states, since you have been here. This is regardless of whether you apply through 5 or 3 year route.

You need to complete the list of last 10 years employment (if any). It doesn't ask you to submit 10 years employment evidence

The online form doesn't let me add a trip, it keeps going straight to 'residence requirement' any help?

proof of living in the uk

Post by Whippino » Wed Jun 20, 2018 10:52 am

"If you are an Non-EEA National, you need to include your passport to prove you have lived in the UK for the past 5 years (3 years if you are married to, or the partner of, a British citizen)."

"Bank statements or household bills are not suitable proof you have been living in the UK."

I remember for my husband's application (paper) we had to prove with P60's / Utility bills / Bank Statements etc.

is the passport now the only item needed? no additional documents to prove you have lived in the UK?

thanks
