for category B, Do we need to have current non-salaried employment for at least 6 months

Post by ilyas83 » Mon Jun 25, 2018 2:36 am

hello everyone.
I have a technical question. Do we need to have current non-salaried employment for at least 6 months if we want to apply under category B? in detail notes it says there is no minimum months of current salary job but does not explain about non-salaried job. and if we look at examples most of them refer to 6 months.
I am working for a company for the last 8 years and I am earning enough. I was out of the country for five months. I am still able to make 19000 in the last 12 months but the last 6 months were zero. do I need to work for only one month and earn1600 or do I need to work for 6 months. remember again that my earning in the last 12 months are still above 19000 even though I was away for 5 months.

regards

If you wish then may apply under category B where you may meet its first part of having being earned at least £18600 during the last 12 months but would definitely be failed under its second part where you must have earned at least £9300 during the last 6 months otherwise if you have 6 months older savings of at least £62500 then can cover it. Otherwise simply work another 6 months.

ok thanks for the replies. but there is an important question, if I need to earn 9300 in 6 months even under category B thn what is the difference between Cat A and B. Cat B is specifically for those whose earning is less than that in the last 6 months but covers overall threshold of 18600 in 12 months.

Category B is not only for where the employment with current employer is less than 6 months but also for those whose earning is not sufficient or varying significantly & wish to apply under category B. Category B also allows aggregation income of all jobs.
