Channe wrote: ↑Thu Apr 12, 2018 8:55 amI had been a silence reader here and this platform has been very beneficial to me over 8 years right from 5years Leave to remains, to PRC.
Now I hope it can do its magic to deliver my Naturalization. This is my story:
- I was married to member of EEA 9 years ago, which led to my 5 yrs residency.
- 4 years ago I was granted Permanent residency Card Sept 2014
- Due to my ex husband chronic infidelity we divorced and divorce absolute granted July 2015 (3 years ago).
- Now i got married to another man in Africa last year March 2017 (husband still lives in Africa).
- I was advised that its better I get my naturalization first before I file for my husband in Africa.
Doesn't give you preference for spouse visa - as far as I know all requirements have to be met.
Now I want to apply for British passport. THIS IS MY QUESTION.
- Is it imperative I add my new African husband in the application form.
AN form, sec1.32. (is he not going to limit my chances)
You need to disclose your marital status and details related to it - otherwise you may fall foul of the "good character" requirement by not disclosing material facts.
- What is my chances of being granted.
Application is individual - if you can show you satisfy all requirements for AN application then you should be ok.
- I was advised that the 10 years route to naturalisation starts counting on the day you got married not the days PRC was granted provided you have prove your husband sustains you. As i have two payslip to prove my ex husband was sustaining us after marriage. There is no "10 year route" to naturalisation - you do not have to prove someone is supporting you. Economic activity is not a requirement.
Please guru in the house advice me.

- I was told if you marry EEA, it has to be 10 years HO recognizes you before you can apply.
not aware of this - other members may comment. Once you got PR or ILR you are free from immigration restrictions.
- My own case its 9 years i was granted PRC whilst it's now 10 years I married my ex husband.
???
- In this case i want to apply base on 10 year time of marriage.
There is no naturalisation application based on 10 year marriage AFAIK
- Also does CCJ affects application?
if you have complied with all arrangements no issue.
