Making a biometric appointment

Post by MaximinAustralia » Wed Jun 27, 2018 12:28 pm

Just realised I posted this in the wrong topic before--apologies!

I am an Australian (living in Canberra) currently in the process of completing my online application for a tier-2 general visa. I won't be able to attend the biometric appointment until 2.5 weeks time, however, because I'll need my passport to travel between now and then. Can anyone advise me on (1) whether they allow you to book appointments 2 weeks in advance, or, alternatively (2) whether you might even be fortunate to get an appointment two weeks in advance? I'd like to know this before submitting and paying for it.

One important thing to note; in 2.5 weeks time, it will be 6 weeks before I have to leave Australia to go the UK to start the new job. So if I book it when I get back and it's a long wait to get an appointment, it's going to be risky.

Thank you!
