FLR M, when to apply

Post by Saifu303 » Wed Jan 31, 2018 7:39 pm

Hi,
I have been granted ILR under long residency this month (jan'2018). I was a tier4 student when applying for ILR. My wife's tier4 dependant visa is expiring on 31 January'2019. Now my request to you to tell me if her tier4 dependant visa will remain valid? I am currently looking for full time employment (to meet 18600) to sponsor her. As per the guidance I need to show at least 6 months payslips. The appendix FM of Flr M says the dependant should apply as soon as possible but must apply before the leave expires. Does it mean I have time till January 2019 to apply for her FLR M. Please let me. I appreciate your effort to look into my query. Many thanks.

You can apply at any time before the current visa expires provided your spouse does not have plans to travel out of the UK.

Also note that the sooner your spouse switches, the new 5 year residence period starts.

Flr M category A employment

Post by Saifu303 » Fri Jul 06, 2018 10:59 am

Hi,
I will be grateful if you look into my current situation and provide me some advice. I am really confused.

I have a permanent full time (37.5hrs) salaried job from April'2018
Gross annual contracted salary is £17082

I am a part time PhdD student and work as a ad hoc session lecturer on temporary contract at uni (teach and claim basis). Last contract issued for February-September'2018
I earned £3210 gross so far (no more income till September as the semester is finished)from this period of employment and the contract extension will be given on september'2018 till May, 2019.

My question is can I rely on two jobs (one salaried gross income £17082 and other variable non salaried gross £3210. Total gross £20292) same employers for last six months( category A appendix Fm se) and apply for my wife's visa in October/November'2018?
I hope you will be very kind to answer my question.
