Difficulty to get PSC appointment for ILR

Post by morshed » Wed Jul 18, 2018 9:13 am

Hi All

I've been trying to book a Premium Service appointment for my ILR(LR) for the last two weeks and didn't get a single appointment in any centres for any time. I tried in the mid-night and during the office hours again and again but all my attempts failed with no luck.

Before that (around three/four weeks ago), the situation was not like that. Croydon centre had a good number of slots available most of the time during the day. Unfortunately, the dates available that time could not reach up to my eligibility date. The situation right now is totally different.
I tried in the midnight today and the server was probably down saying 'Page can not be displayed'. After recovery, if any slots are displayed, no sooner I attempted to book it than it disappeared. Do you have any clue what is going on there? Any suggestion what extra should I do to book an appointment?

Many members are posting asking the same questions as all seem to be having difficulty booking appointments. You simply need to search the forum to see the number of posts and HO's response has been that they are aware of issues and trying to resolve as a couple of members have posted.

I have seen several appointments pop almost every day for the past couple of weeks as i needed to book one myself. You just have to keep trying. i booked mine around 8 in the morning last Thursday.

Lucky you! Most of the time, during day time, I check again and again for appointment. I'm open for any centre, yet I failed to book a slot.

and every centre has exactly the same line.
Thanks for the post, for which I'm not the only one struggles with the mid-night crash.

HO staff, if you happen to view these posts, please try to fix the problem ASAP. It's so unfair for us to go for that extremely long waiting period because of this technique issue!

Thank you for the information. But how did you know that this is due to a technique issue, please?

If this is due to a technical issue, then I will feel relax because I'm so stressful now...

Tried at midnight today as well. This time I prepared myself to be super quick to grab a slot. Initially, managed to select a slot for '11:00am on 30 Aug at Croydon'. But as soon as I clicked to save and proceed to payment the webpage informed 'the slot your selected is no longer available'. Most of the time either it was loading for ages or showing 'The site cannot be displayed'.

This is so frustrating. I must say this system is as good as that of an under developed country. Charging £2999 and providing this poor service! And it seems that there is no authority to care for this difficulty.

I am also facing the same issue. I have been trying since last 7 days and at multiple times. I agree that there seems to be some IT related issue.
At least they should show the appointment for the every 45th day as those must be released everyday.

Please share tips if anyone is successful in finding or booking any slots.

I was able to book an appointment at Glasgow. I tried it at 5:50 am this morning.

When I trying to reschedule it, I am now shown London Victoria as an option as well. As far as I recall, I was not shown London Victoria option.

Victoria only process tier 2 and tier 5 visa applications.

I agree but it is still showing me London Victoria as an option.
I have filled Set (O) form but it is still showing me that option. I hope I have not anything wrong and it is just system defect.

I cannot see the London Victoria option so I think it was a system defect.

Premium Service appointment booking issue for ILR (LR)

Post by morshed » Fri Jul 27, 2018 10:06 am

Hi All

After so many failed attempts, on 24 July at 00:00, I again attempted to book a premium service appointment (ILR-LR) for 04 September at Croydon centre. The payment was successful but the system didn't allocate any date for appointment. Received an email stating the following lines:

'This email confirms the amount you have paid and your application reference number. We cannot provide an invoice, but this email provides confirmation that we have received your payment.

The time taken to make your payment was too long and your visa appointment has expired. You must book a new appointment'

So I emailed to online help team about this issue and got the following reply:

' Although we are unsure as to why you received the error message, it is a known issue in which we are currently investigating. We can confirm that there is an appointment booked at Croydon Premium Service Centre for 04/09/2018 at XX:XX am with the booking reference number X-X-XXXXXX.

We have been advised the following by the relevant team if you have confirmation from your bank that the fees were deducted you can still attend your appointment.

You will need to ensure to take your booking reference number (BRN) and evidence of payment, along with your application together with your supporting documents to your appointment.'

The money has been taken from my account on 25 July. When I log into my PSC application account, I still get the message that 'You have a few more steps before your booking will be complete'. So it is clear that if, in case, I want to change the appointment date or want to cancel I cannot do that with my account. Even, I can not download and print checklist.

Moreover, although they provided me a BRN (an actual number, not XXXXX) but it is unclear if the BRN is associated with my name as they said 'there is an appointment booked' at that time and date.

Can someone knowledgeable and experienced in this forum advice me what I should do in this situation?
Is the checklist is a mandatory item for that appointment day because of which the application might be refused?

Kindly desist from starting multiple new topics on the same question/issue!!! There are more than enough premium booking problem topics.

Kindly also do not post any type of ILR questions in the Settling In (click) sub forum, it is not the correct place to post questions.

@Broody

I'm facing the same issue and still hasn't been resolved. I have noticed not a lot of people experience this and comment were low.
I contacted premium service and confirm there isn't any issue with booking appointment.

Can you please let me know when this is resolved
