Spouse and child visa options

Post by ilesha » Wed Feb 21, 2018 9:46 am

Hi Please i need your help.

I got my ILR DEC 2017. My wife is currently on a student visa and our son is dependending on her.

I will like my wife to depend on me and come off the student visa since i have my ILR. Can you please advise what i need to do? What are the requirement needed for her to make the application as my dependent. What formm should we use?

I want my son to depend change his imigration status as well and i was told he can apply as a british citizen? How true is this? Can is the requirement for making his own application?

Thank you very much. I hope to get a response from you asap.

God bless

Form FLR(M). English A1 and you need to meet the financial requirement.

For spouse, see link below.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -form-flrm

For your child, you can register him as British now that you have ILR. As he is UK born, he has an entitlement to register as British under Section 1(3) of the British Nationality Act. See link below.

Thank you very much for your help.

Please does my wife require to pay the NHS fee?

How many years is she applying for initially? is it 2 or 5 years.

Also sha has been in this country legally for 8 years now. can she apply for her ILR after 2 years?

Thank you once again

Yes.

2.5 years so she has to pay £500 IHS.
Also sha has been in this country legally for 8 years now. can she apply for her ILR after 2 years?
Yes, if she meets all the requirements for long residence ILR, including the absence limit.

£18600 REQUIREMENT

Post by ilesha » Wed Aug 01, 2018 9:59 pm

Please can I use 2 jobs to meet the £18600 requirement?

Also the last 2 months i have been an agency worker earning variable weekly income from 2 jobs at the end of each month, I have about £1650 gross which i think is more than the requirement for monthly. I have now started another Job that is paying £18800 per annum which i intend to do for another 4 months before making my wifes application.

can i combine the previous agany jobs with the new job or i should just stay on this new job for 6 months before i make my application.

Thank you

If you can afford to stay on your present job for at least 6 months without making your partner as overstayer then preferably stay & apply under category A. Otherwise apply under category B with mixture of previous jobs but most importantly you must have earned £18600 during the last 12 months before making the application.
