What forms to use for child dependent on UK Spouse Visa Entry Clearance? Please help!

Hi everyone,
I am a British citizen (and sponsor) in the process of applying for UK settlement visas for my wife and her son. They are applying from outside the UK on visa4uk.fco.gov.uk
For my wife’s application we selected Settlement -> Settlement -> Wife

Questions:
1) Do we need to create a separate account for her son on visa4uk.fco.gov.uk to make his application?
2) What correct application form must we use for her son? Where can we find this form?
3) What type of visa must we select for her son’s application?
4) Is her son’s application considered separately or as one? Thus, do we need to submit 2 sets of documents with each application or 1 set of documents for both?

Sorry if my questions are too trivial. I keep reading conflicting information on the internet and I want to be 100% certain in this important process. I would very much appreciate help of knowledgeable people on this great forum. Thank you!

Do we need to dublicate ALL wife's original documents for the child's visa (as if it's a separate applcation) or should we just combine wife's application documents with child specific documents and send them as one set of documents?

Your child is the dependent of the main applicant who is the wife. You do not need to duplicate anything. You only show 1 set of proofs such as proof of genuine relationship, English test passed. For your child you need to prove the applicant has sole custody etc. so stuff like birth certificate etc.

To sum it up, the child is coming under the wife as an addition.

Could you kindly help with another question: My wife doesn't have any court ruling in regards to being a sole parent of her son (who comes as a dependent in her application). However she has an official letter from her city's Department of Justice, which states that she is a sole parent, based on other available documents. Would that letter be sufficient for HO?

That should be ok. If you she still has contact with the father, an additional letter from him stating he is fine with child moving abroad would cement it.

Otherwise you can also include doctor, school letter to state you are the sole parent involved with the child.

We have now submitted online applications for my wife and her son. We have booked their visa centre appointments in Kazakhstan, Almaty city. However, we received a confusing email regarding where we must send our documents to. In one paragraph it says to bring them to the appointment. While another paragraph randomly contains Sheffield address. I would appreciate your interpretation:

For Bio-metrics appointment they only take following docs:

- Appointment letter
- Passport
- 2x passport copies
- Printed online application to only show
- Payment receipt

Your spouse should then send all documents their support docs from Malaysia ike TB certificate, appendix 2 etc to you in UK, then you add your stuff like payslips etc then send the whole file directly to Sheffield from within UK.

I now have a question that troubles me very much:
Entry clearance, wife + child. We are relying on cash savings only, significant portion of which (43k) was gifted to me by my parents 9 months ago as a wedding gift. Even though it was a genuine, non-repayable gift, I now learned that my parents took a loan to make it.

They run a small family business and have steady incomes. This loan/gift did not create any significant financial hardship for them. And I couldn't find any official rules stating that gifted money cannot be taken as loans in the first place. However, I am now becoming increasingly stressed about this issue as we've already submitted our online applications.

Do we have to tell about this loan in our supporting documents? And would that impact their decision?

You will need to simply submit your parents bank statement from 9 months ago which shows them transferring the £43k from their account to yours. Then another bank statement from you at same period which shows your receiving the £43k.

You then include 6 months of bank statements to show that the amount required to meet the financial remained at that level for 6 months prior to application date.

Then you also submit 2 letter, one from you declaring that the source of funds was a gift. Then another letter from parents declaring they gave the money as a present. Do not stress. The main thing is the transfer of funds proof.

I found out that we can withdraw our applications before their biometrics appointments took place. Even if there's only a small chance of failure, I don't want to risk it. I think it would be safer to take a step back and reassess our approach. At this point, it seems that our safest option is to take the category F avenue as an employee of a specified limited company, but have to wait untill April to satisfy all the requirements

An application is not deemed complete until bio data is submitted. If you have balanced out the pros and cons and have come to conclusion cat f is best for you, then go for it, all the best.

I've read somewhere that it does, however I can't find this requirement anywhere in the official rules.

Last month I've applied for the spouse visa and I submitted a notarised copy of my husband's British passport, all pages (including blank ones) have the stamp and signature of our lawyer.
