Spouse Visa Financial Requirement Calculation (Overtime)

Post by toytu » Sat Aug 18, 2018 10:42 am

I've been employed by the same company for a year now, I started with a 21,000 per annum and got a pay rise of 23,000 per annum on March 2018. So I'm planning to apply for my wife and daughter's visa on the first week of September, my issue is my February payslip was on 21,000 per annum but I did overtime so the Total Gross Pay is 2136.17 (including overtime). Will I be able to apply? Thanks

Don't rely on your old salary when you got promoted to £23000 in march because previous wages is insufficient for partner + 1 child. If you applying in September then attach only six months payslips & bank statements from March. Also note that £22400 is the annual income with 1 child which in your case with new wages can meet.

All overtime will be calculated by non-salaried person method because it usually varies each month. For this purpose the average of last 6 months overtime will be calculated by using the following formula;

Total of last 6 months overtime/6×12= annual overtime figure

Then add it to your annual income to get the exact total annual wages.

So I took the lowest (gross) base salary monthly payslip (feb payslip) and multiplied it by twelve which is 21000 then my overtime for feb-july in total is (1.771.45/6)x 12 = 3,542.9 added that on to 21,000 and the total is 24,542.9. So I'm in the financial requirement? Is that right?

I think you are not reading previous post properly. You don't need February payslip if you are applying in September. Your salary increased in march so from march to September is 6 months that's what you need.

Then I think you have two options:

1. (Preferable): Go to your Bank Branch and request them to give you the bank statement on their letterhead for the month of September so that your September pay also shows on it. By this way you will not have to attach Feb pay slip where your wages was not increased rather you simply rely on increased wages from march to September.

2. As you are saying that apart of previously earning £21000 you were also doing overtime then follow the same formula as given in previous post.

Note: Whichever option from above you choose will largely depend on the visa expiry date and if you want to apply in the first week of September due to visa expiry date then choose option 2 otherwise 1st seems better.

So my feb payslip was 21,000 then my overall overtime for feb-july is 1,771.45. (1,771.45/6)x12 is 3,542.9. 21,000 + 3,542.9 = 24,542.9 so that means I can apply? Please advise

Yes, the passport just has to be valid at the time of the application.

Just wondering though, is it okay to renew the passport in January even if a decision had not been made yet?

I think apart of sponsor the applicant passport too must be at least valid at the time of application. Few places the passport must be valid for six months but I guess in case of spouse visa there isn't such (6 months) requirement.

Title deed. Official copy or online?

Post by toytu » Tue Aug 28, 2018 10:12 pm

Hi guys, I'm just wondering if I can use the one you get from online land registry for spouse visa? Or does it have to be the official copy?

We've used official copies in the past. The one that says official plastered all over it ;) doesn't cost or take long to order..

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs
08/16 - FLR (FP) Partner, refused 02/18, 03/18 - JR permission refused with merit
08/18 - FLR FP (Partner) PSC - Approved
07/20 - FLR FP to FLR M Switch - Approved, 03/23 FLR M Ext Approved.

Payslip authentication for spouse visa

Post by toytu » Wed Aug 29, 2018 5:47 pm

Hi guys, I'm having a problem with this payslip authentication. My payslip is done electronically so it is sent to my email, the problem is that my payslip is plain. It only shows the basic stuff, no logo or whatsoever but it shows the companies name. Can I just print it and ask HR to write a letter to authenticate it?

Post by toytwo » Mon Sep 03, 2018 3:56 pm

Hi guys, I'm wondering about the online application form. So when my wife and daughter goes for their biometric they will need to bring the form with them. Will they have to send it to me in the uk? Or can I just print out another one and submit that? All the documents are here in the UK and I will be sending it to sheffield

IHS Payment confusion

Post by toytwo » Thu Sep 06, 2018 9:51 pm

Hi guys, I'm quite confused with the IHS. So my solicitor has been doing my application(spouse visa) for me, I paid for my wife's IHS. I'm also bringing my daughter but it didn't ask for an IHS payment. My solicitor said that I won't need to pay for my daughter's IHS? Is that true?

Each applicant must pay. This is a glitch in the system. HO will likely email you to pay for your daughter after your application submission.
