FLR(M) Extension - A2 Level

Post by flrm_2 » Tue Jul 31, 2018 11:01 am

Hello Gurus,

I am currently on Spouse visa (British Citizen) valid for 2.5 years, it is now up for renewal in couple of months. On my first application I provided the UK NARIC list from Point based calculator for English language requirement based on degree taught in English outside the UK, now after reading the changes it looks like UKVI needs NARIC official letter this time.

Is this correct? If the UKVI accepted the language requirements on the first application then do I need to prove it again on renewal?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You will need NARIC red route English comparability & proficiency statement or A2/B1 ielts skills life.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Thanks.

is just English language assessment letter enough for extension or it needs to have the degree/qualification assessment too?

If you are using a degree, it must be the English language assessment and the comparability assessment. Costs £150, same as the English test.

Thanks again.

its still confusing to me- if NARIC is saying i comply with the english language requirement on the basis of my degree then why do i need to prove degree/qualification comparability? Its not point based system so I am not using degree for claiming any educational points etc.

Can i just use letter from NARIC where it says my english education is equivalent to C1 LEVEL (with name of my college and degree course etc)

Really appreciate your help

8.3 in the FLR(M) form states clearly what HO expect to see with a foreign degree. Note the 'and', it is not an 'or'.
8.3 Do you have an academic qualification which is either a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
or PhD awarded by an education establishment in the UK; or if awarded by an educational
establishment outside the UK, is deemed by UK NARIC to meet or exceed the recognised
standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the UK, and you can provide evidence to
show that the qualification was taught or researched in English?
As does immigration rules part 8 - 284 (ix)(d) and (e).

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... ly-members
(ix)(d) the applicant has obtained an academic qualification which is deemed by UK NARIC to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the UK, and
(1) provides the specified evidence to show he has the qualification, and
(2) UK NARIC has confirmed that the qualification was taught or researched in English, or
(ix)(e) has obtained an academic qualification which is deemed by UK NARIC to meet the recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the UK, and provides the specified evidence to show:
(1) he has the qualification, and
(2) that the qualification was taught or researched in English.

FLR M Finance Requirement

Post by flrm_2 » Sun Sep 09, 2018 3:15 pm

Hello Gurus,

I have a urgent question on the financial requirement section. I have been employed with my current employer for just under 6 months but the salary received over the 6 months is more than 18600.
I was a limited company director for 3 months and remaining 3 months a full time employee

Now i need to apply under Category B but do I need to provide my limited company( Category F/G) details too? or just the Category B will work?

Thanks
