Spouse Visa -- Accomadation requirement

Post by ukvisa123 » Mon Sep 10, 2018 3:57 pm

Hi,

I am applying for a spouse visa soon. I own a flat on shared ownership basis with the building management company. The title is in my name. I have the following questions and will be glad if anyone could respond to them please.

1) Do I need any letters from Building Management company?
2) As the title is in my name and I can also supply a copy of valuation report which confirms the number of rooms available. Do I still need a property Inspection report?

Kind Regards,

According to the guidance notes, the following can be supplied - ignore the last requirement. As it's a shared ownership, you would be paying rent and service charge, which is clear in your bank statements.

This could include:
 Land Registry documents
 mortgage statements
 rent book or tenancy agreement
 council tax statements
 property inspection report
 utilities bills
 accommodation details with a supporting letter from the occupant/ landlord
confirming that you are able to stay there

Management company letters are not needed

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs
08/16 - FLR (FP) Partner, refused 02/18, 03/18 - JR permission refused with merit
08/18 - FLR FP (Partner) PSC - Approved
07/20 - FLR FP to FLR M Switch - Approved, 03/23 FLR M Ext Approved.

Hi I have another question.

How long do we have from the time the application is submitted to send the supporting documents to Sheffield?

If there is any delay what will happen? the reason I am asking, is because my partner posted the TB certificate from his Home Country and it is still in transit. We are planning to apply today.

10 working days for priority and 20 working days for non-priority. Unless applicant is from US where its 5 days.

Hi sorry to ask such a silly question.

Do UKVI charge in local currency or GBP for spouse application ( when applying from abroad)?

Hi,

I was able to download WhatsApp chats via email chat option. Has one submitted evidence this way? and do you know if this acceptable?

Also on the application form under travel history there is question that asks "Has you made an application to the Home Office to remain in UK in the last 10 years?" If Yes, the form asks for Date of Application, type of application and HO reference ( the first two are mandatory but the reference number is not)

I have accidentally typed in the reference number of recent refusal for an application made prior to that. Do you think that will cause an issue with HO? I only realised after submitting the application.

Emailed whatsapp chat can easily be edited so the more authentically suit way to take its screen shots. Regarding mentioning about refusal number, it wont cause any issue because they also have that in their system too.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

My husband left on 6th Sept 2018 and we applied on 19th Sept I am thinking just to submit what's app chats inbetween those dates. We are also submitting bills in both names from last few years and HO previous accepted put relationship is subsisting and genuine. Do you think that would be sufficient?

Are you applying for further leave to remain or first spouse visa?

You might want to read the OPs previous lengthy topic on her partners ILR/visa being cancelled due to deception in a previous application etc.

Ah I remember this case now. I think no matter what document you give they are more likely than not to refuse your application due to previous deception.

You can send docs in both your names to show you were living together - but I recogne they will be grilling the deception part.

What was the actual degree of the deception?

All the best
