spouse visa IHS surcharge

Post by bookerw100 » Wed Oct 03, 2018 10:35 am

Hi

When applying for spouse visa outside the UK, it asks to pay for IHS.

It asks this on the website:

Are you applying to join or remain with a person already in the UK?
+ Add this person's details
You don't need to add this person's details if they are a UK or EEA citizen.

I am sponsoring my wife to be, but I am on ILR.

If You click on "Add this person's details" since I am not a citizen it asks for my IHS details and visa expiration date for my visa. However, this is no longer valid for me.

What shall I do?

Your supposed to say no. You may have to do application again.

Why do you say 'No'?? Application outside the UK is to join someone in the UK!!

I think appropriate answer will be applying alone then as per member posts & seniors advice simply put 3 years of ILR expiry date to get £600.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

CR001 You say no as in you are applying alone otherwise they take sponsors ILR and give a crazy calculation.
