Tier 2 General SET(O) Saving requirements?

Post by feivourite » Thu Oct 11, 2018 5:50 am

Hi everyone,

I am currently preparing for my IRL application next year, I have been on tier 2 general for the past 5 years and I believe I am going down the SET(O) route as I don't have any family applying with me. I'm wondering whether I will need to show cash savings for my application? If so how much do I need to show?

Many thanks

Fei

Thank you for your reply, does it mean no saving requirements for SET (O) at all? so all saving requirements are for SET(M)?

Many thanks

No savings for Set(O).

Set(M) has a income requirement, not necessarily a mandatory savings. However, Set(M) obviously not relevant to your queries.

No but I believe there's an income requirement for SET (O) as well? is that the only financial requirement for this application?

Thank you

SET (O) English requirement

Post by feivourite » Thu Oct 11, 2018 7:20 pm

Hello all

I have a masters degree that's been taught in English and in an UK University, is that degree certificate alone sufficient for ILR application? Or does it still need to a 'Naci Statement of Comparability' certificate too?

Many thanks

Thank you, is that the only financial requirement for this application? No saving needed at all? Sorry I just want to make sure this is definitely the case.. I do own a house and car but no cash saving at all.

No. A UK degree does not need to be assessed for comparability to a UK degree.

Hi again,

Please can I just check if this is gross annual salary? Does this need to be shown in monthly payment after tax and National Insurance etc? Thanks

Yes, it is Gross. You need to prove £35,500 per annum salary BEFORE deductions.
