Spouse visa documents submission Sheffield

Post by r_majid » Thu Aug 23, 2018 1:28 am

How long do you have to send documents to Sheffield.

I heard it's 14 days, please could you confirm if this is 14 days after online submission or 14 days after biometric appointment in Pakistan.

The deadline to send the documents to Sheffield usually start after the biometrics enrolment. But try to double confirm with the visa center that whether its 14 or 10 days. But also remember that your supporting documents must not be older than 28 days from the date of application (the date when you submits the online application).

For your own peace of mind send them special delivery so the Home Office signs receipt. They do not acknowledge receipt themselves.

Shortly you will get email confirmation. Just a small information regarding sponsor British passport as whether its all pages including blank ones need to be photocopy & certified or just the photocopy of bio page & entry stamps page without any certification will be fine?

We did not get an email or anything but this was non priority. The supporting documents were returned quite a few weeks later, that was our first real contact with Sheffield.

No - it just means application has been submitted online to Home Office.

If you want an update you need to email / call them on https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk

They sometimes give documents back after a decision is made.

Those texts just mean they have received the biometrics data and online application.

You will probably get a decision around early December InshaAllah

Maybe screened quicker as they dont need to enquire with employers, but the decision time is around the same about 60 working days.

Make dua for everyone around the world, those who are in much worse situation, those that may never have the opportunity to be sponsored to go to UK to settle with a wife.

Dont worry you will get the visa InshaAllah. Have sabr - when the time is right it will be approved. Everything happens for a reason, even if there is a delay it may be because it was not the right time for your husband to arrive to UK yet and when right times comes he will get the approval.

All the best InshaAllah.

Have they sent back same A-Z documents that you sent them or kept few? And had you given them any prepaid envelope for the return of your documents?
