Post by Abbey123 » Mon Oct 22, 2018 12:11 am

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I have a settlement visa, but now me and my married partner have separated, and I have received a letter of curtailment which states I have to leave the uk on the 2nd of december. Please can someo e help and advise me on where i go from here, if i can do anything to stay in uk. If there is anything I can apply for.

No. Unless you have British children or cease to being separated or you are a victim of domestic violence.

Hi vinny thanks very much for your reply, the partner isn't signing the divorce papers.

Only if you qualify for a Tier 2 General work visa and have an employer prepared to sponsor you. You don't state what work you do though, so we wouldn't be able to comment further on whether you would qualify.

You won't qualify for a work sponsored visa then.

There really aren't many options for you unfortunately. Unless you have substantial funds to pay international student fees and get a student visa, I cannot see any other way for you to stay in the UK if you have no children (you haven't answered the question by vinny), then you have almost no options.
