what document need to be sent for Naturalization for a non EEA familly memeber

Post by avatar16 » Tue Oct 23, 2018 12:30 pm

Hi all;
i recently got my permanent residence as i'm a non EEA family member. My wife has a British passport as well, so i found that i can apply straight for naturalization without waiting for 12 months. my question is what i should send as document supporting my application?

should I sent again all my payslips and P60s for the last 5 years? also should i send my bills and bank statement for the last 5 years as i did for the PR application?

can you please let me know what document i have to send to avoid any mistake as you know the fee is a big amount of money :)

thank you

Follow exactly what is asked by the AN application! Don't assume anything. Your proof goes back for the five years from the date of the application. It is not the same as the PR application. Bank statements and bills are not accepted for AN.
Reviews the AN documentation: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... en-form-an

Every application is different though in general there is a standard set of documents as per the instructions.
Happy to share my list of documents I used two years ago:
- Current EU Passport
- HO Letter certifying PR/ILR from 1984
- EEC Citizen Residence Permit issued Dec 1979 stamped with PR/ILR Dec 1984
- Life in the UK Test Certificate
- B1 English Certificate
- Reference Letter from my employer covering 10 years with them.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

i'm trying to use the online application and i noticed that they said at the last page that they said : need to send a proof of living in Uk (they didn't say what kind a proof i need to use and for how long do i need to cover) can i use my p60s and payslips and bank statement and bills as proof? should i show i was in uk for only 1 years or for 5 years or for 10 years? by the way i am a non EEA family member and my wife has the British passport and i just got my PR permit.
what do you suggest.
thank you

Hi,
I submitted my mrs NDRS application 2 days ago, and NDRS people said that my wife passport and the stamps on it is the proof of her living in the UK. Make sure if u r using NDRS, they must take photocopies of each of your passport pages (specially the pages which carries entry exit stamps). NDRS people refused to take any other documents, which are not listed in check list.

ILR is gotten after British spouse route
PR is gotten after EEA spouse route.

Both have different requirements when it comes to documents to submit for naturalization. It doesn't matter if your spouse is now British. All that matters is the route you used to gain settlement.

I only had to submit my non British passport as proof of residence in the UK but my friend who got PR had to submit P60s, PAYSLIPS and other documents as proof going back almost 6 years.

So confirm your route and people would advise you appropriately.

I already confirmed my route on the previous discussion and on the title of this discussion. but i will do it again if you still didn't get it : I AM AN EEA SPOUSE WHO HOLD A PR.
i may add P60s and payslips as proof of residency like your friend did it.

It might have been useful if you had not stated your spouse is British as this is what has likely prompted members to ask your route followed so no need to be uptight about the questions being asked for clarity.

Perhaps you should have stated both nationalities to be clear!!
