Documents to Bring to Kingston JA for UK Spouse Visa

Post by AliBro » Sat Oct 20, 2018 8:53 pm

Hi,
My husband and I keep having this back and forth debate in regards to what documents are needed for his appointment in Kingston for his UK Spouse visa. We have received the confirmation email and search Gov.uk. My argument is that I am required to send supporting docs to Sheffield in UK but he is convinced that he is required to bring the supporting doc with him to submit at his appointment in Kingston....therefore i would have to send him these documents via fedex/dhl/royalmail

Please can anyone help or advice the best way to go about this.

Thanks x

The local VFS office only need the print out of online spouse visa application form, proof of application & IHS payment and appointment letter while the remaining all documents the sponsor has to send to Sheffield preferably via one bundle. But still you should double check with your local vfs office about their distinctive requirement (if any).

Thanks for response....but i have already completed the online visa application.....my question is for the priority service once application is complete.

It states:
Location....(i select Jamaica)
Visa Application Centre.....(Kingston)
Visa type........(????)( what am i to select here)

There is no option that states 'spouse visa'
Questions: what is spouse visa also known as in visa type selection?
I've seen 3 options that seem to suit are: Family reunion/Marriage/Settlement.....I'm more torn between marriage or settlement.

SPOUSE UK VISA SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

Post by AliBro » Wed Oct 24, 2018 7:49 pm

Hi,
I have completed my husband spouse visa application. I was wondering if any of the documents need to be singed by (doctor, lawyer or a pastor)?
I have included the following:
-Marriage certificate
-My birth certificate
-My photo copy Passport
-evidence of previous travels to see my husband
-Relationship statement ×2 1 from me and 1from my husband, stating how we met, how many times I've been to see him and our future plans
- screenshot from Facebook post from over the years & Whats apps communication (dating from August 2018)
-Copy of my job contract stating my annual pay and start date.
- Accommodation later from my mom with copy of mortgage agreement.
- passport photo of myself and ×2 of my husband.
- photo evidence of us together and wedding photos
- confirmation email of hotel booked for honeymoon.
- receipt from money exchange in his country along with other receipts we could find in regards to the wedding i.e. wedding dress purchase & professional photographer.

My question is...
1.does anyone of these need to be sign by a legal authority or justice of the peace ?
2. am I missing any vital document the need to be submitted ? (Obviously the application, appendix and premium service receipt)
3. Can I send of documents before his biometric appointment? (For example appointment is 9th Nov and i want to send doc 5th Nov)

Much appreciation for you response

Thanks...Forgot to mention I added payslips & bank statements....however my payslips are only available online which i have printed...does this need to be signed and on headed paper ?baring in mind It already has the council logo on the printed version I done at home. And my bank statement reflects this which I have used a highlighter indicating the deposit of my monthly salary.

Another question....my husband works in his country and have stated this in the application... do I need to have his payslips and job letter also?

house inspection report as well.

Applicant payslips and bank statements are not needed at entry clearance stage.

If its printed payslip you will need a employee letter confirming payslips are genuine and they need to be stamped with employers company stamp.

Same with printed bank statements.

Post by AliBro » Thu Oct 25, 2018 6:56 pm

Hi,
Im having a little difficulties filling out the appendix 2 form for spouse uk visa.
Section 2.8 is a tricky question.
It states does the applicant intend to work in UK..obviously yes. Then it says if yes please give full details.....well we can't give full details as he is not in the UK yet in order to know what route of work is available.....any advice on how to fill this section?

Also are we to put priority on all piece of supporting documents?

Thanks for your help in advance.
