Granted fiancee visa - New worries

Post by Monty1978 » Fri Dec 07, 2018 9:11 am

I posted this a few days ago but i cant find the thread anywhere so apologies for the double post but I need to add to it anyway.

Our fiancée visa was granted and she has booked her flight..

Obviously we now need to marry and will have to apply for a spousal visa.

Do they need financial records again for the spousal visa?

I ask because I took out a large business loan to buy capital purchases for my business to increase future earnings but obviously in the interim this actually means that although my earnings were for example say 50k per year. I took out loans that reduce that 50k below threshold for at least the next year potentially.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, all the same evidence, updated, is required for the spouse visa switch.

Fiancee visa is usually valid for 6 months and usually 6 months of wages under category A can easily meet the financial requirement. Why don't you start doing some job from now.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Well I have a small business which turns over around 80k and I have another consultation service which I provide overseas which is outside the scope of VAT which pays around 16k.

I can't really just stop running a business for 6 months and then re start as I'm online with reviews etc and there will be a gap in reviews and I have a turnover of customers who rely on me etc. Especially now as I've just spent a fortune on it to increase future turnover and plan on taking on staff next spring and of course breaching VAT.

I'm a tree surgeon and fencer as main business and a sales consultant on the weekend. Yes I'm VERY busy.

I'm kinda in an impossible situation. Was stupid really to not investigate the "next" visa but I work 80+ hours a week as well as finding skype time for my better half. I simply can't compute it all. She could if she was so inclined but she is so damn laid back and obv completely oblivious to the bureaucratic hell hole that is the UK.

I'll find a way of breaching the threshold. I may have to just not declare some kind of major capital biz expense and pay a crap load of extra tax.
